About the role
We are a rapidly growing AI-enabled operations platform serving service and field-service businesses that automates the customer lifecycle from inbound contact to technician dispatch and post-service workflows. The organization is seeking a hands-on, New York–based fractional marketing/PR operator.
Responsibilities
• Help with event planning execution for on-site events (logistics, onsite coordination, run-of-show)
• Manage guest travel and accommodation bookings (flights, hotels) and coordinate customer attendance for events
• Coordinate customer merch packages to be packed and delivered, including handwritten notes signed by founders
• Manage outreach to top customers and VIPs pre- and post-event
• Coordinate PR and media interactions: handle inbound media requests, schedule and run briefings, and ensure executive/media prep
• Assemble and deliver journalist pitch materials and media decks for top-tier outlets
• Create and run social posting cadence; repurpose founder professional network content into social content leading up to and during announcements
• Serve as the operational lead for execution tasks so internal brand/GTM owners can focus on strategy
• Maintain task trackers, vendor coordination, and status reporting to leadership
Qualifications
• Proven marketing, PR, or branding experience with demonstrated B2B and startup background preferred
• Strong, hands-on execution skills and comfort owning operational details end-to-end
• Prior event logistics and guest travel coordination experience for executive-level events
• Experience managing merch/signage production and vendor fulfillment
• Media relations experience, including briefing executives and producing journalist materials for national outlets
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to prep and support executive interactions with press and customers
• “Safe hands” mentality—reliable, responsive, collaborative, and focused on execution rather than overhauling strategy
• Based in New York state or able to be in New York for events; available ~20–25 hours per week with flexibility to cover critical event dates
