Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive independent contractor to provide part-time operational and administrative support to a growing HR consulting practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on bringing structure to busy workflows, communicating professionally, and helping a founder stay focused on high-impact work. This is a 1099 contractor role with flexible hours and outcome-based expectations.
Scope of Work The contractor will support a range of business and administrative functions, including:
Email & Communication Management
• Monitor and respond to emails on behalf of the business
• Draft professional client communications and follow-ups
• Flag priority items and ensure timely responses
Calendar & Scheduling
• Manage calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics
• Ensure alignment between priorities and time allocation
Invoicing & Financial Tracking
• Prepare and send invoices
• Track billable hours and maintain simple records
• Follow up on outstanding payments professionally
Operations & Organization
• Organize contracts, proposals, and client documentation
• Track key deliverables, deadlines, and commitments
• Provide regular reminders and status updates
Light Recruiting & Project Support
• Assist with candidate sourcing or coordination (as needed)
• Support creation of presentations or client-facing materials

• Strong written communication skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Proactive and able to anticipate needs
• Comfortable working independently and managing priorities
• Experience with tools like Google Workspace, calendar systems, and invoicing tools
• Bonus: experience supporting consultants, small businesses, or HR functions
Engagement Details
• Part-time, flexible hours (estimated 5–20 hours/week)
• Remote
• Paid on a 1099 contractor basis
• Contractor is responsible for their own tools, taxes, and work schedule
