Fractional FP&A Lead (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Fractional FP&A Lead (Director+) to support the finance function during a maternity leave. This role partners closely with leadership to drive financial visibility, guide decision-making, and maintain operational rigor during our busiest season.
This is not a purely strategic role—we need someone who can operate at a high level while also executing in the details. • Start: Mid-September (light onboarding) • Peak engagement: Mid-November through January (~3 days/week) • End: February (flexible) • Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

What You’ll Own
You’ll lead the FP&A function during this period, focusing on high-impact areas:
Expense management & decision support
Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Leadership on spend decisions, especially during peak season
Financial modeling & actualization
Maintain and update financial models monthly
Track performance vs. plan and clearly surface risks and opportunities
Cash flow oversight
Maintain weekly visibility into cash
Support short-term funding and investment decisions
Month-end close & reporting (with Controller)
Review close outputs and ensure accuracy
Deliver clear reporting with actionable variance insights
Strategic alignment
Ensure business decisions align with financial targets and forecasts
Ad hoc analysis
Evaluate promotions, pricing, inventory investments, and marketing efficiency
Selective forecast support
Make targeted updates as business conditions evolve
Who You Are
You’re a Director+ level finance leader who can move between strategy and execution without hesitation. • Deep experience in FP&A and financial modeling • Highly hands-on; comfortable working in Excel daily • Able to ramp quickly and add value within weeks • Decisive, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
Required Experience • Director+ FP&A experience • Strong proficiency in:
Excel / financial modeling
Budgeting & forecasting
Variance analysis
Expense management • Background in DTC / eCommerce businesses (required) • Experience supporting marketing spend and unit economics decisions
Nice to Have • Franchise business experience • Fitness / wellness industry exposure • Looker or similar BI tools
