The Place-Systems Institute (PSI) is seeking a Fractional Executive Assistant (EA) to support executive operations, research coordination, and global workflow management in a fast-moving, tech-forward advisory environment.
This is a remote, hourly role for a highly organized, intellectually curious professional who is comfortable operating across time zones, cultures and digital systems.

PSI is an advisory and research organization focused on location intelligence, geographic strategy, and AI-driven decision-making. We help clients understand how place-based dynamics influence opportunity, risk, and growth in an increasingly distributed world. Key Responsibilities
• Manage complex executive calendar across multiple time zones
• Prioritize and organize inbox communications; draft and respond as needed
• Screen and manage phone calls with professionalism and discretion
• Support research initiatives (data gathering, summarizing insights, organizing sources)
• Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and client-facing materials
• Coordinate across projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
• Maintain structured digital systems (documents, trackers, dashboards)
• Accurately track and report hours worked in a self-managed environment
Core Requirements
• Strong geographic literacy (global regions, time zones, cultural context)
• Tech-forward mindset with comfort using AI-assisted workflows and modern tools
• Travel-literate with an understanding of logistics and scheduling complexity
• Well-spoken and professional communicator, especially on phone and virtual platforms
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational discipline and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Fully bilingual (Spanish–English) strongly preferred
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a master’s degree (M.A., M.S., MBA or M.Ed.)
• Juris Doctor (JD) or legal training is a plus
• Experience supporting executives or senior leadership
• Strong writing skills in both English and Spanish
• Familiarity with data, research, or analytics environments

Compensation & Structure
• $17.50 – $55.00 per hour , based on experience (ad hoc)
• Fractional / part-time engagement
• Fully remote with some cross-time-zone responsiveness expected
• Most likely structured as a 1099 independent contractor (non-employee)
