About the role

Affiliate School Network Fractional Director

Freelance / Contract | UK-based | Education & International Partnerships

We are building a new international education network connecting secondary schools, young people and education leaders globally.

We are looking for an experienced Affiliate School Network Fractional Director to take ownership of the development and operation of the network.

This is not an administrative school-relations role.

We are looking for someone who can build the network, open doors, establish trusted relationships with secondary/high schools and school owners/leaders, and turn a strong concept into a genuinely active and valuable network.

What you will do

You will be responsible for developing and managing the school network, including:

  • ·Identifying and targeting suitable schools and education groups
  • ·Building a strong school pipeline
  • ·Developing relationships with Headteachers, Principals, senior leaders and relevant decision-makers
  • ·Presenting and positioning the network to prospective schools
  • ·Converting prospective schools into participating members
  • ·Managing school onboarding
  • ·Developing the annual network engagement calendar
  • ·Coordinating the delivery of network activities with internal and external partners
  • ·Building meaningful engagement among participating schools
  • ·Developing the School Leaders Network
  • ·Organising school leadership discussions, roundtables and networking opportunities
  • ·Monitoring participation and engagement
  • ·Gathering school feedback and identifying improvements
  • ·Supporting renewals and long-term relationships
  • ·Identifying opportunities to expand the network and its value to participating schools

You will be expected to bring both relationship-building ability and commercial judgement.

What we are looking for

You should have substantial experience in one or more of:

  • ·School partnerships
  • ·International education
  • ·Independent schools
  • ·International schools
  • ·Academy trusts
  • ·Education networks
  • ·Education partnerships
  • ·University-school partnerships
  • ·Student/youth programmes
  • ·Education business development

You should be comfortable speaking with senior school decision-makers and understand how schools evaluate external partnerships.

Particularly valuable

  • ·Existing relationships within UK and international schools or education groups
  • ·Experience developing an education network or membership proposition
  • ·International education experience
  • ·Experience working across multiple countries
  • ·Commercial/business development experience
  • ·Experience with youth or student programmes

A degree or relevant professional qualification is welcome, but demonstrable experience and results are more important than a particular academic background.

The person

We are looking for someone who is:

  • ·Senior and credible
  • ·Commercially aware
  • ·Excellent with relationships
  • ·Highly organised
  • ·A strong communicator
  • ·Comfortable opening doors and creating partnerships
  • ·Able to work independently
  • ·Able to represent an organisation professionally
  • ·Interested in building something rather than simply managing an existing process

What success looks like

We will measure success through things such as:

Schools recruited → schools activated → student participation → school engagement → satisfaction → renewals → network growth.

We are not looking simply for someone who can arrange meetings.

We want someone who can help build the network itself.

Engagement

Freelance / contract basis.

UK-based preferred, with flexibility for remote working and occasional travel where required.

This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of an emerging international education platform.
