Fractional Integrator / Fractional COO — Physician Real Estate Platform
Curbside Real Estate is a physician-focused real estate concierge platform that connects medical professionals — residents, fellows, and attendings — with vetted realtors and physician home loan lenders nationwide. We're a lean, trust-first business with strong distribution through the Passive Income MD audience and a clear mission: make homebuying better for physicians.
The model works. Now we need systems to scale it.
The Role
We're looking for a sharp, experienced Fractional Integrator (think: Fractional COO or Chief of Staff) to help translate vision into execution. This is not a management role in the traditional sense — it's an operational build-out. You'll be architecting the systems, workflows, and documentation that let a small team run with less friction and the CEO stay focused on strategy and growth.
What You'll Own
- Audit current operations — identify gaps, redundancies, and undocumented processes
- Build the operating playbook: client journey, partner onboarding, team SOPs
- Design and implement lightweight systems and workflows (CRM, automation, communication)
- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and a reporting cadence so leadership has visibility without micromanaging
- Coordinate between contractors and team members to keep projects moving
- Flag risks and decisions that need CEO attention — and handle everything else yourself
You're a Fit If You
- Have held an integrator, COO, or Chief of Staff role — ideally at a lean startup or services business
- Can build from scratch — not just optimize what's already there
- Are systems-oriented and document everything as a reflex
- Communicate clearly and concisely — async-first, no fluff
- Have worked with small, remote teams and understand how to create accountability without overhead
- Don't need hand-holding — you identify the problem and figure out the path forward
Nice to Have
- Experience in real estate, mortgage, or professional services businesses
- Familiarity with EOS / Traction or similar operating frameworks
- Background in healthcare-adjacent industries or working with physician/professional audiences
- Experience with tools like GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Notion, or similar ops stacks
- Actively uses AI tools in your workflow — or has a clear willingness to learn and integrate them
What to Expect
- Scope: ~10–15 hours/week, flexible around your schedule
- Structure: Weekly async updates, biweekly 30-min syncs with CEO
- Engagement: Starting with a defined 3-month build phase; ongoing retainer for the right person
- Communication: Async-first via Slack or similar; clear deliverables, no time-wasting
- Environment: Small team, high trust, real ownership — this isn't a bureaucracy
Compensation
Hourly or monthly retainer, commensurate with experience. We pay for outcomes, not hours. If you're a fit, we'll make it work.
How to Apply
Skip the cover letter. Send a short note answering these two questions:
1) What's one operational system you built from scratch and what was the outcome?
2) What's one AI tool you've used consistently in your work, and how do you use it?
Then attach your resume or LinkedIn. If it's a fit, we'll move fast.
