About the role

Fractional Director of Finance

Location: New Hope, PA — remote, with occasional travel to all four locations Reports to: Founder & COO Type:Contract, fractional / part-time Engagement: Initial six-month term with option to extend or expand.

About UsLa Chelé Medical Aesthetics is a physician-led medical aesthetics practice with four locations across the greater Philadelphia region and a team of 60+. We rank among the top practices in the world by treatment volume, and our medical director serves as a national trainer for two leading aesthetics manufacturers across 30+ FDA-approved treatments.

We've grown quickly on the strength of clinical excellence. We're now building the financial infrastructure to match it — and this is the role that does it.

The RoleWe're engaging a fractional Director of Finance. You'll work directly with the Founder and Chief Operating Officer.

Your job is to optimize the financial picture — which locations, service lines, and capital assets are performing, and what the numbers say we should do about it. This is an analytics and strategy role. Day-to-day accounting and tax work is handled externally. Operations are led by our COO.

This is a genuine fractional engagement, not a disguised full-time job. We're looking for someone who runs a portfolio practice and brings pattern recognition from other businesses to ours. You set your own schedule around agreed deliverables and a standing monthly working session.

What You'll Own

Financial Planning & Analysis • Build and maintain the monthly reporting package across all four locations, with year-over-year trend analysis • Establish P&L visibility by location, department, and service line • Assist in the annual budget and rolling forecast; identify variances early and explain what's driving them • Analyze cost of goods, product margin, and pricing across all treatment and retail categories Asset & Capital Performance • Build utilization and ROI analysis for every capital device in the practice • Identify underperforming assets and quantify the options — reprice, remarket, relocate, or retire • Model the financial case for new equipment and technology investments before we commit • Evaluate the economics of new locations, service lines, and expansion opportunities Commercial & Contract Analysis • Evaluate the financial terms of vendor, supplier, and manufacturer agreements • Track rebate program performance and volume commitments against actual results • Quantify savings opportunities across purchasing and operating expense • Provide the numbers that support contract negotiations led by operations Business Partnership • Translate financial reality into terms the clinical and operations teams can act on • Support diligence and financial reporting for strategic initiatives as they arise

What We're Looking For

Required • 5+ years in finance, FP&A, accounting, or financial strategy, with at least 2 in a role where you owned analysis and recommendations — not just reporting • Demonstrated experience building or analyzing variable compensation structures • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets; you build models from scratch rather than maintaining someone else's • Experience in a multi-site business — you understand that four locations is not one location times four • Sound judgment with confidential compensation and financial information Strongly preferred • Healthcare, dental, veterinary, or another multi-site clinical services environment • Familiarity with practice management or EMR platforms and their reporting limitations • Experience partnering with an external CPA firm • Exposure to capital equipment ROI analysis or asset-heavy service businesses Who thrives here You're comfortable being the only finance person in the room. You'd rather build the analysis than wait for someone to hand it to you. You're energized by a business that's growing faster than its systems. Engagement Terms • Contract engagement (1099), invoiced monthly • Initial six-month term, with the option to extend or expand scope • Standing monthly working session with the Founder and COO, plus availability between sessions • Occasional on-site time across our four locations; the balance remote • Generous discount on treatments and products • Direct access to the Founder and COO, and a genuine seat at the table on growth decisions • La Chelé Medical Aesthetics is an equal opportunity employer. We're committed to a workplace free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
